Description

In this lesson, studets will learn about other new theme, the parts of the body.

Materials

Abc Draw parts of the body

Main Aims

  • To provide students to learn the different parts of the body.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide that students evolve their language and know more words in English.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Ask to the students if they know the parts of the body. Give feedback to students about past classes that one of our body parts also shapes the face and ask if they remember someone.

Pre-Reading/Listening (10-12 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

Paste a drawing of a human body and the students will be told the part of the body in English and the place where it goes. Ask to the students tha they will going to read each part.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-12 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

Introduce a song about the parts of the body, and pause the video every time they mention a part of the body so they can read it.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (14-16 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

Play the video again but now without sound, students must read the part of the body and pronounce it.

Post-Reading/Listening (8-10 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

Ask to the students In the drawing they must point to the part of the body and mention which is in English.
