Description

In this lesson, students will learn and identify, among the products that exist in their environment,those that you can consume as part of a correct diet. The lesson begins with brainstorming different food names.

Materials

Abc memorama
Abc photocopies of recipes
Abc pencil markers/colors notebook

Main Aims

  • Provide writing practice using a recipe to practice as a family

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide product writing practice of a writing in the context of A favorite and healthy recipe

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Show the students a memorama with different recipes and their names pass to 5 students. To conclude ask students to select their favorites

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Ask them to analyze all the information throughout the last sections, make a recipe with foods that they like the most and that are healthy.

Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Give the students a photocopy, where they select some foods and they will write the name correctly, then they will color it.

Productive Task(s) (15-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

ask students to write a recipe that they could invent, clarify any doubts about how to write a word they do not know

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

ask students to voluntarily show some of the recipes they wrote, correct writing and/or writing errors, so that students make corrections that may arise.
