Procedure (47-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Begin the class by showing pictures that represent different marine animals and ask students to identify them.
Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language
apply a diagnostic test with pictures of marine animals to write their names and their pronunciation in the target language.
Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage
Provide explanations and examples for writing the names of marine animals and their pronunciation in the target language.
Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
Provide the test, where they include the images of marine animals, so that they can write the correct name of the animals.
Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
Show all the students pictures and flashcards of sea animals and ask them to ask each other the names.
