Description

In this lesson, students will learn about the parts of the face. The lesson starts with asking the date. Then they will going to play the song of "the parts of the face" to sing it among the whole group and ask the students to draw the parts of the face previously seen in the video. Finally, the class ends showing a cardboard with a drawing of the parts of the face an they will locate them.

Materials

Main Aims

  • To provide practice of parts of the face.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide specific information listening practice using a text about location the parts of the face.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Greet to students. Ask questions about the face, ( What parts of the face do we have?, how many we have, what can we do with them?). Write in the blackboard the parts of the face for everyone, and read aloud to practice pronunciation together . Play the song "the parts of the face" to sing it among the whole group.

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Give feedback to the class with the parts of the face highlighting the pronunciation and the meaning with syllables.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

Write the parts of the face in spanish. Ask the students to draw the parts of the face previously seen in the video musical and write them in Spanish and English.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

Present the cardboard with the drawing of a face and the student will have to participate and locate each part.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Present to the students the final video with the parts of the face, that video shows the pronunciation and finally present this part but the students must be know what part of the face is and which are.
