Procedure (41-56 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Play a song with students in relation to family members
Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
Post the video in the classroom, to repeat the phrases found in the video to reinforce speaking
Useful Language (8-10 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
Use the flashcards to resume the pronunciation of key words to establish a conversation with others
Productive Task(s) (20-26 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
Let each of the students come by, and read their work from the previous class on their family tree and their writing on the topic, so they can share it and practice their speaking
Feedback and Error Correction (5-7 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language
Correct students' pronunciation errors, so that students take it into account for future classes
