Procedure (30-44 minutes)
- show pictures of monuments to the student to elicit the word sight scenes. for example, pyramids, Eiffel Tower. etc. - elicit what are these places. - elicit and give the word sight scene - reflect on places that you want to travel to. - assign them in pairs - give instructions (in 2 minutes speak with your partner about sights you want to visit) - ICQs (Are you working alone? Are you writing anything? What are you speaking about?) - Monitor - Content feedback.
Print out pictures of each word and lay them on the ground. - ask students to match every word to its picture. - Model, for example, ancient ruins. - ICQs (Are you going to write anything? What are you going to do?) - Monitor - Thorough content feedback
- start Eliciting words through meaning that the students didn't understand or know using visuals - CCQ them - Choral drill for each word - individual drill for each word - Spaced repetition
- give the student the HO - ask them to answer the exercise - check the answers in pairs - show the answer on the screen
- assign the students to groups of 3 or 4 - Model - give instructions (speak with your partners Where do you want to go? What features and sights do you want to visit? What place that both of you want to go to? Why) - ICQs (Are you working alone? Are you writing anything? What are you working on?) - Monitor and take notes - Content feedback - language feedback
