Procedure (37-49 minutes)
- Introduce students to the topic by telling a story about their pet. - Talk with the students about their favorite animals, the pets they have at home and the qualities or characteristics that their pets have.
Ask students to mention what they would say to a person if they were asked what a lion is like, share different opinions. Continue working with the description of people or animals.
Show the students different cards with illustrations and ask them to mention the name of the animal in case they know it appears on the card.
Repeat the name of the animals on the cards several times to practice pronunciation. Display the cards that contain descriptive words and work on the meaning and pronunciation of each one.
Once the words have been practiced and understood in a group through an activity and participation, the students will place the descriptive cards with the corresponding animal.
Assign students a copy where different animals and some characteristics appear, students must match the animals with their corresponding characteristics.
