Description

In this lesson, students learn about writing to complement the previous exercises.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-8 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Put a game in the style of "Pictionary". Ask the students to pass random students to draw a drawing on the board, which the others will have to guess what it is, saying it in English.

Exposure (5-8 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening

Show the students a text on the blackboard like the one they filled out in the previous class, about the members of their family. Indicate to the students what the structure of such a text is like and clarify doubts about the way of writing each word.

Useful Language (5-8 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

Give students a copy to work on, where they will have to identify and write the name of the family member, to reinforce vocabulary

Productive Task(s) (15-18 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Have students make a family tree, and below it, write a text about what is inside their family tree.

Feedback and Error Correction (8-10 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Show students on the board an example of how their work could have been completed. And with the support of that, let the students make the necessary corrections.
