Description

In this lesson students will listen to the pronunciation of the numbers and with visual support (memory cards) and by dictation they will select the number.

Main Aims

  • To verify that students have the rapacity to identify the correct pronunciation of numbers
  • To provide detailed listening practice using a text about numbers in the context of Everyday life

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide listening practice using a audio about numbers

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1.Greet students. 2.Sing a good morning song. 3.Write the date on the board and ask some SS to say it loudly. 4.On the board: put a star in the row that corresponds when the SS behave good

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

Ask questions to know what your knowledge is on the subject of numbers. This in order to know how we can how it develops.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

1.Show to the students the flashcards of the numbers (1 to 5) and repeat the pronunciation. 2.Show the flashcard representing a number and ask the student ‘’how many things are there?’’. 3.
