Procedure (29-39 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Ask the students what they like to do in the afternoons, when they leave home, when they go on vacation, etc.
Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation
Show students examples of verbs in the present continuous with pictures of actions
Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language
hand out flashcards about daily activities
Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
Explain the composition of the phrases describing actions with the flashcards
Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
Show students how to formulate the question and how to answer it taking into account the verb "to be"
