Main Aims

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

As a warmer I will still building a good rapport with previous and new learners, asking them how their week was and how they feel, I truly believe that building a good rapport is essential before start teaching. As a lead-in Ss will talk about Lies, so I will provide context setting the followin question: How do you know when someone is laying?. Ss will think their answers for 1 minute and then in the main room Ss will participate to answer the question and discuss about it.

Content preparation (6 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through speaking

At this stage will be set to do the following activity individually for about 2 minutes and then Ss sill compare their answers in BORs for 1 more minute. Then, in the OP Ss will be nominated to complete the table. Answers: Beginning: - In the beginning - This happened when... - Before long Describing what happened - Well - So, - The next thing I knew - And then, all of a sudden Ending: - So,...´ - Finally,... - In the end - Anyway

Language Preparation (7 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

During this stage Ss will notice the Meaning, appropiacy, form and pronunciation of the target language. M: Ss will have 2 incomplete sentences and they will have to complete with tell and say each. In this part I elicit the meaning, and letting them an example for them find out when they have to use in, instead of telling them right away the meaning and use. A: I will clarify that both have a neutral use, so it can be used for informal and formal contexts. F: For form I will present a table, which contains the meaning and useful example, so Ss will notice the form for each. P: Ss will listen an audio of me pronouncing the examples, so they will notice where the stress is.

Productive Task(s) - Speaking (20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

During this stage Ss will have to develop 2 speaking activities. The first activity Ss will have 3 statements and decide, in pairs, if they are agree of disagree of each one, Ss will go into BORs and discuss for about 4 minutes and then in the OP Ss will tell me their thoughts. Afterwards, the second activiy is to tell a story using the sequency phrases studied before, Ss will have 4 minutes to develop this individually and then for 3 more minutes Ss will tell theis stories to a peer for 2 more minutes. Then in the open class 1 or 2 Ss will tell me their stories.

Feedback and Error Correction (6 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

At this final stage I will correct some delayed error during the class, clarify some doubths and provide a summery of the learning experience by asking them: What did you learn today?
