Procedure (33-45 minutes)
Introduce the context of the lesson with a question: what would you do if you were invisible? Students briefly share their answers in an open class fashion and then are asked to work in pairs (Breakout rooms) to discuss further similar questions (see slide 2 on the materials). Students will have from 3 to 5 mins to discuss.

Reading for gist – students skim the article on a Google form and identify what questions are answered – students choose from a dropdown menu. Questions answered: If you wanted to persuade someone to dress up as a tree in public, what would you do? What would you do if you wanted to sell cakes and nobody was buying them?
Students work in pairs (Breakout Rooms) to read for detail and answer questions about the article - students choose the correct answer from a dropdown menu. Answers: 1. Why do we do what we do? 2. They did experiments involving members of the public, and secretly filmed them with a hidden camera. 3. They convinced people that they were getting a bargain. First, they pretended that one cake cost two pounds, and if you bought a cake, you would get another one free. Later, they told people the cakes were normally two pounds, but they were selling them at half-price. 4. She talked like a hairdresser, and dropped fake hair. 5. If you want a big favor from someone, first ask for a small favour. Students check the answers/ask questions in an open class fashion.
Students are asked what question about human behavior they would like to ask - after sharing possible answers, they work in pairs (Breakout rooms) and discuss further what-if questions. Students ask one question at a time; discuss their answers; take turns to ask the following questions. T monitors and takes notes on a G-Jamboard for DEC, which will be done in an open-class fashion.
