By the end of the lesson, the SS will know how to use "feeling ill" vocabulary in a better way. (using the symptoms after "I've got")

By the end of the lesson, the SS will have practiced speaking for fluency in the context of "feeling ill" .
Procedure (27-35 minutes)
- Welcoming the SS and T asks them to share positive vibes. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- T asks the SS (When was the last time you felt sick? What did you do?). After -T Shows some questions on the screen, T asks student to discuss these questions in pairs and get something in common. Questions:- 1- How do you know that you are sick? Do you like visiting doctors? 2- What do you do when you feel that? 3- When do you usually get sick....in the summer or the winter? why? ICQS:- 1- Are you going to listen only or try to get something in common? Finished. - T nominates a S to share.
-T says let's have a small quiz. -T shows 11 pictures on the screen in order to match. -T asks the SS to try to match the word to the right picture Individual in 3m. -Modeling ICQS:- 1- Are you going to match with your partner or alone? 2- How many minutes do you have? Finished - T asks the SS to check in pairs. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Won't send the answers cuz the T will use the same pictures to elicit the words.
- T elicits the topic from the SS. - T shows the pictures from T1 and elicit the words. - T shows the right form of using the "feeling ill" vocabularies. Sick takes before it (I'm going to be & I feel ). I've got (a bad cold - fever - cough - toothache - headache - sore throat - earache - stomachache). CCQS:- Will be by acting ex. Cough:- is like this (start sneezing or start coughing). or by pointing at the part ex. sore throat:- Do I have pain here (point at the tooth) or here (point at the throat). After writing on the board the whole symptoms. - T asks the students what can we call all of these feelings. (trying to elicit Symptoms & teach it for the free practice).
smooth transition:- Now let's practice to know more about how to use these words in a sentence. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- - T shows the questions on the screen. - T asks the SS to complete the sentence alone using the words that he taught before individually in 3m. ICQS:- 1- Are you going to work alone or with your partner? 2- How many minutes do you have? Modeling. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Finished - T asks the SS to check in pairs. - T nominate S to answer.
Smooth transition:- now its speaking time. ---------------------------------------------------------- - T asks the students to stand up. - T shows the table of feeling ill vocab of the book on the screen & asks the SS to choose 3 symptoms to answer the question :- (What do you you usually do when you feel like that?) - T asks the SS to find something interesting about his partner. - T gives them 10m and swap them when its needed ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Modeling. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ICQS:- 1- How many symptoms are you going to talk about? 2- Are you going to listen only or find something interesting? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Finished - T gives content feedback ------------------------------------------------- -T gives language feedback and greeting the SS.
