Description

In this lesson students are going to talk about their last Vacations and the experiences that they had at the airport and and also for the listening part, they're going to give their opinion of the questions which are related to the listening. After that I will play the audio file and they will check their answer that they had guess. Then for the next part I will play the audio again and ask them to complete the chart . We will check their answers. In the end I will ask the student to go on page 119 to see the audio script and students will lesson the audio again with audio script, and we will check all the new vocabulary.

Main Aims

  • To provide detailed, inference and gist, students will learn how to find the main target of the listening by taking notes.

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide gist, students will understand how to listen to the audio file for gist.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-10 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

In this stage , at first I will tell the students about the story which is related to the Topic that I'm going to teach. Then I will ask them a question which is again related to the Topic and they will tell us their experiences.

Pre-Reading/Listening (5-8 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

In this part I will show the students a picture that we have in the Book , and I will answer a couple of questions and they will tell their opinion and their guess about the questions, then by listening to the audio file, they will check their answers.

While-Reading/Listening #1 (10-15 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

I will play the audio file for about 2 times. First they will listen for gist, then for the second time they will understand the details about the listening. And also if we have time I will tell the students to listen to the audio file for the third time but with audio script.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (6-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

In this stage I will ask students to complete the chart that we have in the book and I will ask them to tell me the details that they understand from the listening.

Post-Reading/Listening (2-5 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

In this part I will ask the students a question which is related to the topic that they had learn from listening .
