Procedure

Icebreaker (2-3 minutes) • to help the students get to know me, build rapport, and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

The teacher explains to the students that he will be sharing three statements about himself, one of which is true and the other two are false. The student's task is to guess which statement is true. 1- I am 32 years old 2- I have had 3 diplomas in teaching English 3- I have taught English for 21hours on one day Students are required to guess the right sentence and ask further questions if needed

Pre-Reading/Listening (3-5 minutes) • To prepare students for the text and make it accessible

"The teacher presents a series of thought-provoking questions related to the topic (5.a p68), inviting students to engage in a lively exchange of ideas and express their views in the form of speaking in break-out rooms (BOR)."

While-Reading/Listening #1 (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging gist and specific information reading/listening tasks

The teacher plays an audio track of a dialogue between Olivia and her friend discussing her exam results. After playing audio, have students answer in pairs the comprehension questions based on the dialogue. The teacher reviews the answers as a class, and use the dialogue as a model for the first conditional.

While-Reading/Listening #2 (7-10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging detailed, deduction and inference reading/listening tasks

"The teacher offers students a dynamic and engaging listening activity by providing them with an additional audio track (7.12) and inviting them to complete the accompanying gap-fill exercise. Students work independently at first, focusing on their own listening comprehension and language production skills. They then have the opportunity to collaborate in pairs, discussing their answers and comparing their responses to build confidence and reinforce their learning. Finally, the teacher provides comprehensive feedback, highlighting areas of success and offering constructive suggestions for improvement.

Post-Reading/Listening (10-15 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to respond to the text and expand on what they've learned

The teacher elicits the target language used in the track (If the first condition). then, he offers a brief explanation if necessary. Teacher provides students with a controlled activity P144 a, and then students are required to answer individually, in pairs, and in a plenary at the end, the teacher provides the students with a simi-controlled practice ( G.p144), which will followed by a freer practice as the teacher will ask the students to discuss what will happen if they: 1- do not get the full mark yet get the scores they want. 2- fail in an exam. 3- get the full mark
