  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a conversation in the context of seasons

Procedure

introduction (3-4 minutes) • getting to know each other

introduce myself briefly. ask them to do the same throwing the ball.

lead-in (3-4 minutes) • speaking

ask them to discuss in pairs -how was the weather today? -typical weather in your favorite season

exercise (2-3 minutes) • test

work in pairs. match the words to pictures.

vocabulary (2-3 minutes) • learn to talk about the weather

check the exercise and provide extra vocabulary

exercise 6a (teaching) (3-4 minutes) • word building

clarify the distinction between adjectives and nouns looking at the table and then fill in the gaps in pairs.

exercise 7a (3-4 minutes) • test

choose the correct words. individual work.

exercise 5 (3-4 minutes) • production (speaking)

work in pairs. ask and answer questions about the weather in the places that are given. fill in the gaps.

discussing seasons (4-5 minutes) • speaking

ask about their feelings about each season and what activities they like to do. one season at a time. maybe learn some vocabulary. ask them which season their birthdays are in. this stage needs to be moved to the second line
