Procedure

Review (3-5 minutes) • To review previous week's vocabulary (colors)

Hold color cards, let students name. Call on them individually.

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

A. Drill vocabulary cards: weather, sunny, cloudy, rainy, snowy, cold, hot, windy B. Elicit answers: It is .... It's .... I like ........ weather. I do not/don't like ..... weather. C. Elicit questions How is the w__ today? Do you like ___ weather? CCQ: sunny?

Highlighting (2-4 minutes) • To draw students' attention to the target language

Clarification (8-10 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language
