Procedure (35-48 minutes)
The teacher sticks the pictures of a dance couple, a football team, a bunch of people acting on a stage and two people playing chess on the wb. The teacher then asks the sts what they think these pictures represent and get their feedbacks.
The teacher sticks eight flashcards on the wb and ask the sts to work in pairs and think about which ones are similar to each other and which ones go to the similar categories. In two minutes, the teacher gets the sts' feedback as a whole class and match the flashcards with the related pictures. The teacher doesn't write 'free time activities' till she elicit the words from the sts. The teacher then asks how often they do these activities to relate the topic with the previous one.
The teacher asks the sts to stand up and tell them that each of the four corners in the classroom represents one of these activities. The teacher then asks the sts to pick one corner which has their own free time activity. After the sts settle their corners the teacherask them to discuss which exactactivity their partners like doing. After a few random feedback that the teacher gets by asking what their partnerts like doing, the teacher distributes 'find someone who' handouts and ask the sts to walk around the room and find someone who likes doing the free time activities on the handout and write his/her name down. After five minutes, the teacher gets some CCQs by asking students about who they find and what they like doing.
The teacher distributes new flashcards to the sts and asks the sts to listen to the task and tick the activities they hear in the dialogue. The teacher then asks the sts to check their answers in pairs. The teacher then asks the class which one of the activities they hear in the diologue.
The teacher asks the sts to listen to the same dialogue again and want them to underline the correct answers. The teacher distributes new flascards and plays the dialogue. Then the teacher asks the sts to work in pairs and check their answers. The teacher then gets students' feedbacks as a whole class and elicits the answers.
