Procedure (37-49 minutes)
I am going to start with introducing my loud neighbors(The Goody family), then I'm going to show the students a picture of a dishwasher and discuss about its invention and link it to the fact that my neighbors do not have a dishwasher(Or do not use it in case they have one at least) and that the sound of the dishes being washed, distracts me every night, then I'm going to mention hearing the sound of the piano every afternoon and I'm going to ask the students to guess the one who plays the piano, lastly, I will talk about the thieves who broke into their house last week and that they were arrested last night.
I'm going to write an active sentence and it's passive form on the board and ask the students about the difference between the two sentences, after that, I will write four passive sentences that I mentioned during my lead in.
First, I'm going to ask the students about the usage of passive sentences and talk about when we use it and why we use it. Then I will clarify the structure.
I'm going to ask the students to do part A of page 76 and then we will check the answers.
The students will do part B of page 76, Then we will check the answers together.
I will ask the students to search and write a short text about an invention( the inventor, year of invention, etc..)
