Procedure (51-65 minutes)
In pairs, ask each other the following questions: 1. Have you ever been on a boat? 2. Have you ever gone underwater? 3. Would you go on a submarine?
In pairs, conduct extensive research on submarines as follows: 1. What is the beginning of submarines? 2. What is the difference between submarines and submersibles? 3. What is the world's first submarine? 4. What is the first war submarine? 5. How did submarines evolve through world war I and II? 6. What is the difference between modern and old submarines?
1. During the research, make a list of some of the vocabulary that you think are important. 2. Write down your ideas/main elements in Chinese. 3. Translate your ideas/main elements.
1. Begin with an introduction to the topic. 2. Use the information you gathered and the new vocabulary to write the main body. 3. The conclusion/ending has to be directed towards the readers.
1. The students will take turns evaluating each other's writing. 2. After giving each other opinions, the teacher will give feedback on accuracy. 3. The students must take notes while the teacher is giving the feedback
