Description

in this lesson sts practice there is/ there are and learn the question form. The lesson start with listening to Susan's neighbourhood to find out what is /are there. Then, they do practice on question form and giving the answer. after they practice asking questions and answer, this time sts will make their own questions. finally, sts will be doing speaking activity asking their questions to eavh other and answer.

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (5-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students with topic

firstly i will focus on listening activity. sts are going to listen Susan's conversation with Isabel to find what they will talk about after that they listen again to find what is/are there around their neighbourhood.

Language focus (6-7 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

i will write some examples on WB with blank to elicit the question form from sts and ask why is or are we use to make question to clarify any problems sts have. finally, i will use prompts to ask sts make questions with them.

Practice (8-9 minutes) • to test sts in order to see if they can form questions.

i will give HO which is about neighbourhood in order to make seven questions in pairs.

speaking activity (10-12 minutes) • Check sts if they can ask questions about thier neighbourhood and answer in pairs

sts will ask questions and answer about their neighbourhood to each other.

Free practice (6-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

sts will change their partner and ask questions about their neigbourhood to practice more.
