Description

In this lesson, student learn some new words about the characters. The lesson starts with discussion about if some one do any adventure and do it in Egypt or outside Egypt. This is followed by the Test stage the students will try to guess the meaning. the the Teach stage that i will start to teach them through ECDW. Then Test 2 this is the contolled practicte. Finally the free practice speaking task.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification and practice of how to descride the characters through adjectives in the context of modern adventurues

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide fluency speaking practice in a discussion in the context of descriping famous characters

Procedure

Lead-in (4-6 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

I will show them some pictures about some people who makes hard adventour. Then I will ask them some questions have you every do an adventure? Do you love to do adventure things? Are you afraid from these things? or Are you feel enjoyble? Then I will tell them in group of 3 to talk with eachother about an adventure and what did you feel? And Do you make ot in Egypt or outside Egypt?

Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language

I will start to make the guessing stage to see if they know the meaning or no. I will give them handout about one complete exrecise they will complete the sentences using the corrcet word. This is individually. Then they will check pairs.

Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage

After they guessing the answers I will start to teach them the meaing through eliciting from them most of them using pictures and the others using situations. Then I will ask them some CCQs to make sure that they understand. Then I will drill with them in groups then individually. Finally I will write the words on the borard and elicit from them were is the stress on each word.

Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test

This the second test or the controlled practice I will give them a handout like puzzle maker. They will read the situation and write the correct word in the puzzle individually then they will check in pairs.

Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

I will show them some famous people and i want them to try to think what do they look like? they try to imagine using the adjectives that the took in the session. Every group will choose one character then I will ask for one representitive from each group to share their opinions and see if the other groups agree or disagree about their opinions.
