Description
In this lesson, students learn about jobs. The lesson starts by students learning the different words used to describe jobs. This is done an exercise of matching the words to the pictures. Then, they listen to a record to check their answers. After that, they learn how to answer the question about their jobs through some controlled practice. Next, they review the words through some less controlled practice.

Procedure (47-60 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
Ss are shown pictures and asked to describe what they see in each one of them.
Test #1 (8-10 minutes) • To gauge students' prior knowledge of the target language
Ss are asked to name the job of the people in the same pictures.
Teach (15-20 minutes) • To clarify areas of the target language where students had difficulty in the first test stage
Ss are taught the new words to describe the jobs they couldn't identify in the first stage.
Test #2 (8-10 minutes) • Check students' use of the target language again and compare with the first test
Ss are asked to name all the jobs in all the pictures.
Free practice (13-15 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language
Ss are asked to answer the question "What do you do?"
