To provide detailed reading practice using a texts about shopping habits and trends in the context of shopping

Procedure (27-54 minutes)
Reading Exercise 1 (3-7 minutes) • to give the students reading practice and to see if they understand the text
Tell the students we are doing a reading lesson. Hand out the handouts and have the students do exercise 1. Make sure to tell them to read only the first two paragraphs before answering the questions. Go over the answers with them.
Reading Exercise 2 (10-17 minutes) • to give the students reading practice and to see if they understand the text
Have the students get into pairs and do exercise 2. Go over the answers with them.
Reading Exercise 3 (7-15 minutes) • To give the students practice speaking in the context of food shopping
Have the students change partners and discuss the questions in exercise 3. Have them share some of their answers with you & the class.
2nd Reading (7-15 minutes) • to give the students reading practice
Have the students read the article from the workbook. Then have them do the exercises, and go over the answers with them.
