The teacher divides the class into 2 groups; each group will get a picture of the famous person to describe. The teacher will set up the limited time like 1 minute. Then the teacher will put these pictures on the WB and ask each group to present it to the other group. After they will finish the teacher is going to ask them some questions to present new vocabulary like: 'Does she look beautiful?' What do you think? Is he a rich man?' etc. The teacher will write all new words on the WB.
The teacher will give simple definitions to present new words; she/he will explain the differences between similar words. Then the teacher will drill some words to make the students to learn and practice pronunciation, intonation and word stress. After that she/he will ask the students to write 3 sentences using new words; then they will work in pairs to check each other's sentences. Then the teacher will ask if they found some mistakes while checking. After that teacher will ask them to do ex. 1 on the page 42 (Vocabulary part) and explain what they are going to do by giving the example on the WB. The student will do this task individually. After that the teacher will ask them which phrase is the most/ least important for them etc. Then the teacher will give them instructions to do ex. 2 on the page 42 (Vocabulary part) and ask them to do it. They will do this exercise in pairs. After they will check the answers, the teacher will ask them to find synonyms of words they didn't use while doing ex.2 (awful and terrible)
The teacher will ask student to describe any person they choose (friend, relative etc.) by using new vocabulary, they will be allowed to write some notes down. They have only 1 minute to think about it. Then the students will work in pairs and tell each other about the person they have chosen. The teacher will set the limited time like 2-3 minutes. After they will finish the PW, the teacher will ask if someone found something interesting about his/her partner.
The teacher will present some new vocabulary in the concept of hope by asking questions and giving some simple definitions. Then the students will discuss as a whole class who is an optimist and who is a pessimist.
The teacher will ask the students to read the text (When I grow up).The teacher will ask if someone know the difference between 'lots of money' and 'a lot of money' (if they don't know - she'he will explain it very fast). Then she will ask them to do ex.1 on the page 42 (Reading part). After they will finish doing ex. 1, the teacher is going to ask the students to read the text again. Then the teacher will instruct them how to do ex. 2 on the page 42 (Reading part). The teacher will check if they understand the instruction by asking ICQs. After the students will choose two quotes, they are going to discuss them in pairs and each of them will decide if his/her partner is an optimistic or pessimistic person.
The teacher will explain the ex. 3 on the 42 (Reading part), check if they understand the instruction and ask the students to work in pairs. Then they will discuss everything as a whole class.
