To introduce and practice relative use or non-use of relative pronouns in the context of celebrations

To provide students with fluency practice in the context of discussing people/places/things in their life
Procedure (37-47 minutes)
- Ask student "What do you think is the most popular holiday in your country?" Share example and elicit 1-2 student responses
- Introduce the audio topic about Children's day, mother's day, and Day of the Dead. Ask students if they are familiar with each of these, share out answers to predict the content of the audio. - Play the audio, reminding students to listen to see if they were correct. Make BORs during this. - Display the text of the audio with relative pronouns highlighted. Elicit any knowledge from students if they know why those words are highlighted, what those words are called, how they are used.

- Display the first question from the google form. Do it together, following the same structure used in the clarification section of the lesson. Ask if students have any questions about the activity. - Send students the google form - 6 minutes to complete the activity. Send teacher presentation for anyone who wants to reference the practice slides. - Check answers in BORs, remind students to not submit the google form - Come together and have students submit their google forms to receive feedback. Ask if students have questions.
- Tell students that now they will practice using relative pronouns by turning the statements from the previous activity into questions, then asking those questions to their partner. - Do one together, modeling how to turn the statement into a question - 5 minutes BORs (longer if time allows at this point) - Come back together for final questions and DEC
