Procedure

Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Personalization: Ask students to talk about their favorite entertainment activities that they like usually do. * There will be a picture that shows some examples of entertainment activities to help students speaking. - When the students answer this question ask them to elaborate and give more details. + What do you usually watch on tv? + What is the name of your favorite movie/ film/ series/ show/ program? + Which instrument do you play? + What is your favorite song? + Who is your favorite actress/ singer? + What is your favorite sport? why?

Content Preparation (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through listening

*Procedure: Listening & Filling the gap/ completing phrases - The students will listen to a record (text) in which three different conversations that are related to the topic will be heard. - While listening they are expected to do a task in which there are gaps that they have to complete/fill with some phrases from the conversations. - The teacher will share the link of Google Slides and specify a slide for each student so they can do it individually before the OCFB.

Language Preparation (10-15 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks

- In this stage, the teacher will share a Jamboard link to clarify and discuss MFP. * Meaning (M): The students will do a task in Jamboard in which they should divide phrases into two categories (comparing and recommending). Then the Teacher will discuss the answers with Ss and give feedback. * Form (F): the differences between using the affirmative form and the negative form when recommending - I expected it to be expensive, but it's not really. (Comparing) - I would recommend it. (Recommending) - I wouldn't recommend it. (Recommending) Also Ss will do a Form activity in which they have to work on the structure of two example: - I expected it to be expensive, but it's not really. (Comparing) - That sounds much more interesting. (Recommending) * Pronunciation (P): discuss the intonation, stress and connected speech in: - I expected it to be expensive, but it's not really. (Comparing) - That sounds much more interesting. (Recommending)

Productive Task(s) (15-20 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills

Teacher asks Ss to talk about a movie or series that they have watched. Ss are expected to use comparing and recommending phrase. The most important part is that they mention whether they recommend it or not and why? There will be some questions showed in the Google slides and by answering them this might helps them speaking: What is the name of the movie/series? Is it a movie or series? Did you like it? What is the genre (type) of it? What is it about? what happened? Would you recommend watching this movie? Why/ Why not? Compare it to the last movie you have watched. * Notes: - Students might have 2-3 minutes to prepare before speaking and OCFB. - If there is enough time another speaking task might be done for more practice. In which Ss will be asked to "Talk about a place (town, restaurant, museum, etc.) that you have visited and say whether you recommend it or not? Why? ".

Feedback and Error Correction (5-7 minutes) • To provide feedback on students' production and use of language

Teacher will give Ss feedback on their language use+ DEC.
