In this lesson, students will know the difference between present perfect and past simple in meaning.

To practice speaking for accuracy and fluency using present perfect in the context of real lives.
Procedure (32-45 minutes)
1-Show the ss some pictures on the screen for some people. 2-Ask them some questions like: -Do you know these people? -Who are they? -Are they famous? -Do you know any achievement they've done in their life? 3-Point to a box in the handout including their achievements. 4-Have them work with a partner and match the achievements with the pics. ICQS: -Will you work alone or in pairs? -What are you going to do? -Show them the answer key on the screen.
-Give them handout 1 and ask them to choose the correct verb form in brackets. -Monitor and provide help if needed. -Ask ss to check answers in pairs. -Content feedback.
-Give the ss this test. -Have them work in groups and discuss these questions. -content feedback.
-Give the handout 2 and ask them to complete the story using the correct form of the verb. -Monitor and provide help if needed. -Content feedback.
-Ask ss to think in two minutes of some achievements that they've done. -These achievements could be true or fake. ICCQS -Will you work alone or in pairs? alone. -Can I fake my achievements ? yes. -Ask ss to mingle and share their achievements with at least 3 people and kow theirs and tell me who has the greatest achievements.
