Procedure (31-45 minutes)
I start with asking questions about cooking and if they like it or not.
Then I learn if they also cook for their relatives to give them a chance to practice the lexis they learnt at the previous class. I show the pictures of some of the world cousines and ask them which cousines they like. Then I ask them how they prepare and store these foods.
I ask the sts if they know any tips/secrets about cooking and want them to share those tips with the class. Then I tell them that there are some other secrets from the world's top kitchens and want them to read the passage on pg 20. After that I play the listening part and discuss each of the tips the passage gives us. I ask the sts if these tips make any sense and if they have ever heard about them.
By using a few sentences from the reading task, I point out the adjectives such as "too much and a little." I start to teach the grammar task and elicit the countable and uncountable adjectives.
I ask the students to do the exercise 1 on pg 135. Then I make them work in pairs and check their answers with different partners. After I get some feedback, I ask them to do the second exercise with their current partners this time and I check their answers by asking them.
After I guide them with the question form of the subject, I want them to work in pairs again. This time they are supposed to have a different partner. As a role-playing task, one student talks about a dish that he/she prepares by using the adjectives in subject while the other is asking "how much/many" questions.
