You will get a paper that has 5 questions in order to know each other. You will move around and to ask some questions to find things that similar or different. You have 3 minutes. ICQS: Are you siting or moving around? (Moving) How many minutes do you have? (3) An open class feedback will be provided.
I will ask students to do the first task. In pairs, you will read those 10 sentences. Try to guess the meaning of the words in bold. You have 4 minutes to finish the task. ICQS: 1. Will you do it individually or in pairs? (in pairs) 2. Which words are you trying to guess? ( Words in bold) 3. How many words are you trying to guess? (10 words) Switch pairs to check ss answers.
In this stage, I will teach the challenging words that ss will use them later. I will highlight MFP using PPP. Ss will drill in sentences. Task 1b: Individually, you will read the sentences again to tick T or F in 3 minutes. Demo the first sentence ICQS: Will you read to put t/f or to match? (put t/f) Is it pair work or individual?( individual work). How long is this activity? (3 minutes). Ss will check answers in pairs Task 1c Now, you will listen to check your answers. Fell free if you want to repeat the track again. Open class feedback
you will work in pairs to write two sentences of your own. Both can be true or false. Or one is true and the other is false. You have 3 minutes. Demo the activity: I will write two sentences on the board and let ss ask questions to figure out which one is true and which one is false. ICQS: How many sentences are you going to write? (2) Can both sentences be true?( Yes)
Ask students to check their sentences in groups. An open class feedback will be provided.
As ss were speaking, I would write down their errors to correct them. I would write some sentences on the board and ask them what do you think is it a correct sentence
