Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

1. show "bad advice" comic strip on jamboard 2. conduct open-class discussion on receiving advice: a. Have you ever received bad advice? b. Do you know someone who thinks they have the best advice just because it worked for them?

Exposure (Text/Gist) (8-8 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Clarification (Text/Intensive) (15-15 minutes) • To clarify the meaning, form and pronunciation of the target language

Controlled Practice (8-10 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice
