Description

In this lesson, students learn about ' past simple ' and ' infinitive ' verb forms based on a reading article from a tape-script about school and also a verb chart of infinitive and past simple verb forms which continues with the rules for past simple tense. This lesson starts with filling in the chart of past simple verb forms and then checking the tape-script. This is followed by focusing on the past simple verb groups and also the grammar rules of past simple tense. Then, there is a controlled practice through filling in the gaps in a conversation. Finally, there is a free practice activity for the students to create their own sentences.

Free Practice (11-12 minutes) • To provide students oral practice of the target language
