To introduce and provide practice of speaking for fluency in the context of achievements

To provide gist listening practice using a text about humanity's and individual achievements.
Procedure (34-44 minutes)
T greets Ss. T shares the screen. (Google Slides) T shows 2 images to set the context: ---A soccer team lifting the cup in the championship. ---A group of graduates throwing their hats in the air. Ask the Ss what they think the images represent. (Nominate 1-2 Ss if necessary) ---T introduces the Achievements topic to the Ss.
T introduces gist task. (Google Slides) T will share the task (Google Forms) in the chat box with the Ss. ---Ss will listen to a recording with 5 speakers expressing their opinion on the achievements they admire the most. ---Ss will choose the correct answer in the task sheet. After the task is done. T will share the Key Answers. (Google Slides) ---T will go over the answers with the Ss. ------Ask Ss if they have any questions before continuing---
T introduces Target Language for the Ss to use for the Speaking Stage. ---T presents TL for talking about General Achievements. -As a result of this... -Just imagine life if… ---T presents TL for talking about Someone's/Personal Achievements. -I really admire the way he/she -What I find particularly impressive/interesting… ---Ask Ss if they have any questions before continuing---
T presents prompt for Ss to start the speaking task. (Google Slides) ---Think of an achievement of someone you now. T presents task instructions to Ss. Ss go into breakout room to discuss the topic. (5 min) After the activity, T asks Ss to share in OCFB. (3 min) T presents a second prompt for a new discussion. ---Which human activity do you admire and why? Ss go into breakout room to discuss the topic. (5 min) ---Ask Ss if they have any questions before continuing---
T asks Ss if they have any questions about the lesson. T grant feedback to the Ss concerning the understanding and pronunciation of the topic. T thanks Ss.
