Procedure (42-49 minutes)
I will draw a hotel, a campsite and friends/family on the WB in order to elicit vocabulary from the students. I will tell them where I stay when I travel. I will ask one of the students where he stays when he travels and then ask sts to work in pairs asking each other questions. After that, I will ask some of the students what they have learnt about their partners.
I will write on the board: sofasurfing.com and ask students what they think this website might be about. Then I will give them time to read the introduction and answer multiply choice questions in pairs. After that, I will check the answers with the whole class.
Before reading I will explain who Melek and Fiona are. I will give students time to read then I will ask them to answer True/False questions in pairs. I will check the answer with the whole class. In feedback I will also ask CCQs in order to check if they understand some vocabulary e.g. architect.
I will give sts a profile template with the sentence stems, I will get them to complete their profiles. If there's enough time I will get sts to stick their profiles on the wall around the room. Then they can walk around and read different profiles
