Procedure (38-50 minutes)
T- teacher displays images related to job interviews - Jamboard already has questions for the students to elicit in the care context. Have you ever been interviewed for work? Was it successful? Yes/no? Why? Ss are sent to the BR to discuss the mind map about jobs
-T presents 3 jobs adverts on the screen Instructions: Listen to the first part of the interview. Which job is the interview for? -T plays audio -slides show 3 options -T send students to BOR to pair check their answers for 3 minutes -T conducts OCFB and displays correct answers as soon as students come back
- T changes Jamboard slide with words -T covers MPF phrases.
- Instructions: Listen and choose the correct option I will give Ss 1 minute to read the sentences After listening Ss will have 5 mins to discuss in breakout rooms - ICQs: How many minutes do you have? (5 min) - Pair checking through breakout rooms - T conducts OCFB- Answer key will be displayed when they come back
- Instructions: Role play, One is the interviewer the other is the job seeker Topics for conversation and discussion - ICQ: Are you role-playing the same person? - T says short opinion. - Send pairs BOR for freer practice - T conducts OCFB and suggests Qs which can be used a What qualifications have you got for this job? b How much experience do you have? c Why do you want to work for this company? d What are your strengths and weaknesses? e What's your greatest achievement?
- T conducts OCFB following up on the productive stage. - T writes on the screen samples of learners’ production and nominates learners to identify the correct and incorrect sentences and correct the latter ones. - T conducts OCFB
