Procedure (19-27 minutes)
*Write on the whiteboard both the P and B letters. *Ask students to write 2 or 3 words starting with these letters. *Demonstrate the first one with them. *Ask students to work in pairs. *Teacher monitors and gives help if needed. *Give them feedback by praising their efforts.(good job/ well done everyone)
Activity 1: *Tell students that we have an activity here. I want you to listen , point to the picture and say these words. (use gestures) [Pen / Bag]
Activity 2 *Ask students to work in pairs to underline /p/ and /b/ letters in the words [bus / pan] *Teacher monitors. * Give feedback by praising their efforts. (good job/Excellent)
*Point to the picture of 'pen' and ask student 'what is this?' *Elicit the answer from them. *Point to the letter /p/ and tell students to repeat after you. *Drill the sound withe the whole class, and then individually. *Show them how to write /p/. *Point to the picture of 'bag' and ask student 'what is this?' *Elicit the answer from them. *Point to the letter /b/ and tell students to repeat after you. *Drill the sound withe the whole class, and then individually. *Show them how to write /b/.
*Ask students to complete the sentences using the pictures on their own. *Demonstrate the first one with them. *teachers monitors. *Ask students to check their answers in pairs. *Give feedback by demonstrating with them. If they need help in writing the word practice writing the word together in the whiteboard. *Praise them. (Excellent/good)
*Give students papers with board game, dice and paper cars with different colors. *ask students to work in groups. *Tell students we are going to play a game. use the dice to tell them how to use it and the cars as well. *Tell students the one who finishes first will be the winner of the group. *Demonstrate how to play the game with them and pronounce words in the board game. *Teacher monitors. *Give them feedback by correcting their mistakes if any and praise them for their hard work.
