To provide clarification, review and practice of collocations in the context of habits/relationships.

To provide detailed reading practice using a text about research in the context of habits/relationships.
Procedure (49-67 minutes)
1. The teacher writes the following words on the board: go-take-get-do. 2. Ask the students to work in pairs and list the words that go with those words. 3. Share your list with the teacher.
1. In pairs, try to do the quiz together. 2. Go to page 158 and check your answers.
1. Get back to the text again. 2. Read and highlight the expressions that go with go, take, get and do. 3. Read the expressions out loud chorally.
At this stage, the teacher will teach the following: 1. Meaning: Mainly by eliciting the new words' meaning and letting the students figure out the meaning themselves before telling them. 2. Form: The teacher will ask the students to guess the form of the word first before teaching it. 3. Pronunciation: The teacher will drill individually and chorally with the students.
1. Ask the students to work in pairs and create their collocations. 2. Share your sentences with other students and try to fix your mistakes. 3. Share your sentences with the teacher. 4. At this stage, the teacher will provide full support.
1. In pairs, one student will say one of the words (go, take, get, or do). 2. The other student will complete a word/sentence that matches the word. 3. The teacher will provide little support for the emerging language at this stage.
1. Each student will make a list of things they do daily. 2. Then, they will list questions they want to ask their partner about their day. 3. The teacher will only observe and take notes at this stage. 4. After the students are done, the teacher will provide feedback on fluency and the target language.
