To provide fluency speaking practice in a speaking practice in a conversation in the context of describing people
Procedure (15 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (2-0 minutes) • To prepare their minds about what kind of words I want to talk about
I ask them to describe me in terms of appearance and personality and each student says one sentence
Highlighting (3-0 minutes) • To draw their attention to new words
I asked them to look at the pictures on the page 150 and tell me what do they look like then try to guess their personality.
Clarification (4-0 minutes) • To clarify the meaning pronunciation and the form of the vocabulary
They will be given new words and I will tell them their meaning and ask them to repeat them out loud with me.
Controlled Practice (3-0 minutes) • To practice the words together and understand their meaning and form better
They should do the practice on page 150 and match the adjectives with the definition individually finally we check all of them together.
Free Practice (3-0 minutes) • Enjoy the discussion and use the new words they learned
Each of you describe one of your classmates without saying that person's name. Then ask the others to guess who it was.
