The T shows Ss a PPT with pictures of movie villains. The T asks students to name each of these. At the end of the presentation to T asks Ss to discuss with their partner what distinguishes a "baddie" and if they can mention any other movie villain.
The T pre-teaches some vocabulary, necessary for the Ss to understand the reading (Villain, nasty-nastiness, wicked, as a start). I'll give the meaning, first, then write the words on the WB .
The T delivers students a handout with a description of 5 movie villain and asks the Ss, in pairs, to put them in order of nastiness. FB on the WB.
Ss are asked to look back on the text about villains and to find words or expression in it that match the definition in the exercise. Ss will check in pairs. On the board, T projects the keys.
In groups, Ss will discuss on two questions. The first one is: Why are men usually the villains in the movie? The second one is: Can you think about any other woman villain? Ss have to draw a female villain, in groups, and list some charaterstics a good female baddie should have? Oral FB with the class.
