New lesson plan: Work and study, Listening

In this lesson students are going to pracice listening for gist and listening for details in the context of work and study.

To provide students practice with new vocabulary related to the context of the work and study

Lead-in (5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students with the context of work and study.

I will show sts four pictures about four different places and ask them what are they? I will conduct here more demos and drilling.

pre -teach some vocabulary words (10 minutes) • To intruduce new vocabulary and expressions used with them.

I will show sts some pictures and use it to introduce the new vocabulay related to the context of the lesson.

Practice of vocabulary (8 minutes) • To provide students with less challenging exercise for vocabulary task related to the context of the lesson.

I will show students a picture and ask them to describe using the new vocabulary and expressions.

While-Listening (10 minutes) • To provide students with more challenging for detailed listening task related to the context of the lesson.

I will ask sts to listen to the conversations again and this time to fill the chart with words used in each conversation.

Post-Listening (12 minutes) • To provide with an opportunity to discuss about what they've learned

I will show pictures and ask them to line up to discuss about the topics appearing on the board.
