Description

In this lesson,students learn about future be going to and indirect objects. They are going to learn about the usage of be going to,and do some practices related to structure and finally use it in speaking. And they also going to learn what are indirect objects and their pronouns. lesson will start with a discussion about a plan of buying a birthday gift and after the discussion explaining the grammar will start.

Main Aims

  • To provide clarification of Future with be going to in the context of birthdays
  • To provide clarification of Indirect objects & Indirect object pronouns

Subsidiary Aims

  • To provide speaking practice in a conversation in the context of birthday

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

At this stage I`m going to talk about that it`s my mom`s birthday and I don't have any ideas for the gift.I will ask them what would they buy if it was their mother`s birthday.

Exposure (3-5 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text.

Students will see the grammar in the text and kinda get to know use it in a context or etc.

Clarification (9-12 minutes) • To clarify the grammar and explain it completly

After the warmer they will catch something about the grammar but not completely.They will get that something is new here so they will pay attention to explanation.I will draw a time line on board and tell them be going to is for future and then start my explanation and show the different form of sentences for this grammar.

Controlled Practice (3-6 minutes) • To concept check and prepare students for more meaningful practice

Students are going to do some practices related to the grammars.

Free Practice (5-8 minutes) • To provide students with free practice of the target language

Students will answer to the questions that they are in HO.
