Description

In this lesson students learn about functional language through guided discovery based on a listening text about not feeling well. The lesson starts with a lead in of students speculating about the people in the picture of the text, followed by listenening to them talking about not feeling well to attend a meeting and sutdents have to identify who said what. Leading on to MFP of key TL which is followed by a CP based on the text from the Workbook. Face 2 Face. Finally a free practice via a Role play ? speaking about personal health isses???

Procedure

Warmer/Lead-in (3-5 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students

Using picture of Tim, Emily, Simon and Rachel, inform sutdents that Simon and Rachel has problems asking them what the problems might be. Allow open class discussion for 2 minutes Link: .

Exposure (8-10 minutes) • To provide context for the target language through a text or situation

Screenshare the task. Demo what to be done and share link in chat at the same time so Ss can have access to the document. Get student to listen to the audio and answer the questions on the G. form.
