Procedure (34-46 minutes)
Slide 2 Have students describe what they see and guess what might have happened. Aditional questions: - Where are they? - At the principal's office. - Are they happy? - No - What happened? - They fought.
Slide 3 Show the conversation to the students and give them time to read for 1 minute. Handle the link for google forms so they can answer the questions individually (2) Show them slide Slide 4 so they can compare their answers on BORs (3) and then check with the class. (2)
Direct students to the jamboard. [https://jamboard.google.com/d/1eQ5F9YTwtp3dXGXKUf42hxFw0jsKHq359Bk5RNo69Mw/edit?usp=sharing] Meaning: Tell students that the expressions on the post-its are in the conversation. Explain that they'll have to indicate if the expression is to talk about the story or if to compare it with another one.(2) Ask them to drag each sentence to its corresponding box. They'll work this with a partner, so send them to BORs after sharing JAMBOARD link. Make sure students have the conversation open. (3) After they're done, ask students to answer on Slide 5 (2) Total 7' Form and Pronunciation: Guide students through the fixed part of the expressions and have them complete the structure using the examples from Conv.1. Focus on pronunciation, stressing the correct words and linking where necessary. After each structure, elicit one example from the students. (12')
Present students the second part of the conversation on Slide 7. Have them read for 1 minute. Provide students a link for google forms (https://forms.gle/MxaHtMgQRtj3XNw19) and have students answer the questions. This section will be done individually (3). Send students to BORs to compare their answers (2) and then provide whole class feedback. (2)
Slide 8 Ask students to talk about what may be story here, have students tell who's telling the truth. Ask students they should use the expressions in yellow (the ones taught on LC stage). Send them to BORs to discuss. (4) Call some students to tell their ideas, who's lying? (4)
Show slide 9 to students. Ask one student to read the text. [If time allows, provide this on previous stage] Provide feedback if needed for anything that might be necessary.
