Procedure (49-33 minutes)
First, The teacher will show a picture of an Egyptian movie and will ask : What are they doing? Then,the teacher will ask Ss the following questions: If you have an important decision to make , who would you talk to ? Have you ever made a decision regretted it ? Are you good/bad at making decisions?
The T will introduce Ss to the topic of the listening text. She will say " You will listen to three people talking about past decisions". Then, she will ask them to match the decision to the right person.
The T will ask Ss to listen again and to order the sentences as they heard them in the text: If I hadn’t come to France, I wouldn’t have met Nancy If I had stayed at work, I wouldn’t have spent time with Jack. If we’d gone back to England, we wouldn’t have been happy
The teacher will show the marker Ss . Then, she will ask CCQS, such as : Is it the present / the past ? Can they go back and change it ? Next, she will ask Ss to clarify the form : If+past perfect+ would/wouldn't +have+p.p Finally, she will drill the form.
The T will play an online game with Ss. Ss will roll the dice and complete a sentence using the " Third Conditional".
Ss are put into groups. Each S will make a sentence on a picture using the Third conditional.
