Procedure (34-47 minutes)
T shares his favourite movie of all times and ask them to share about theirs then show different pictures of famous movies, Tv shows and books and ask ss to sort them into different genre. Then group discuss the ones they like and dislike, T monitor and only intervene when needed
T shares handouts with Ss and get them to go through a list of sentences and sort them into positive/negative or neutral first individually then in pairs. Finally, Ss feedback to T
T gives handouts to Ss with a grid of the target language and teach them the different words Meaning through CCQs, Pronunciation through stress highlighting and drilling finaly the form noun, adjective, verb... For example: Myth Form: noun Pron: Myth /mɪθ/ Exp The play is an adaptation of a Greek myth. CCQs: Is it a traditional story? (yes) Is it a confirmed story? (No) Unproven myths: - Elephants are afraid of mice Bulls become angry at the red colour
T handout crosswords puzzles and ask Ss to use the newly learnt target language to fill in the missing words. Then ss needs to check in Pairs and finally feedback to T. During Feedback T test Ss understanding of the words by asking for examples
T ask ss to work In groups and pick a random picture and describe it in three short sentences using the newly taught target language.
