Procedure (35-49 minutes)
T will start asking the Ss about they get news. possible answers: TV, radio, newspaper, internet Ss look at the pictures and headlines. These two news reports are from the day after the TV news reports.
ex 5 b) Ss individually write on a piece paper V2. Check in pairs. Then they will listen and drill. The answers will be on the back of their chairs.
Ss are in 2 groups A, B Group A read report 1 and answer the provided questions Group B read report 2 and answer the provided questions
T will re-mingle the 2 groups. Ss from group A will be in group B with questions of B and ask the group members. Ss from group B will be in group A with questions of A and ask the group members.
ex 7 a) Ss look at the pictures on the board then look at the headings. After that, they will listen and match. b) T will Ss time to read sentences 1-6 and responses a-f. Then, they will listen individually and match. After that, Ss check their answers in pairs.
ex. 8 a) Ss in pairs work on this exercise. b) Ss will be in 3 or 4 groups the will put the cut-ups in the correct columns in the table. The tables will be on the walls.
T will write on the board * * * * * * Did you hear about that plane crash? No, where was it? Teacher will elicit from the Ss the stressed words. Ss listen and drill
