To provide practice of Information questions with 'be' in the context of E.g. What is she like? Where are they from originally?
Procedure (60-84 minutes)
We use PowerPoint to have some questions and learn how to answer the questions
Use the video to get SS to complete the blanks. The student will complete questions. -Monitor her
There are questions taken from SB.pg.2 - Give S a time limit to match the questions with the right answers - Monitor and help if they need
Photo story to warm up, ask: how many people are in the photos? (four) how many men are there? (two) how many women are there? (two) after S read and listens to the conversation, check comprehension. ask: in the first photo, what's the man's name? (Samuel pike) what's his first name? what's his family name? what's Cara's friend's name? (Susan grant) what's her occupation? is Susan married or single? what's her husband's first name?
read and listen to the conversation, ask her to underline the names then have S read again and label the people in the photo. review the examples. practice the meanings of who, what, where, and how old. pick up the student's book and say (Jenna's book) and write it on the board. do the same with other tools. do the practice part and check the answers. want the S to write about their personal information with questions on page 5.
Use the last worksheet and ask the S to answer the questions with her own answers.
