Procedure (45-60 minutes)
Teacher elicits froms students differents ways to express that you understand something. Teacher asks students: What are active listening strategies? Why do you think they are important?
Teache asks students to read again the transcription from reading 2, and write down the listening strategies they identify in the text. Answer Key: I see Nodding your head mmm / hm eye contact
Teacher writes down answers from previous exercise and asks students to brainstorm any extra options Teacher writes all suggestions down in the presentation
Teacher provides a roleplay exercise to put in practice active listening skills
Teacher provides feedback and delayed error correction (DEC)
