In the context of a job interview, to give fluency and accuracy speaking practice in a discussion.
Procedure (35-45 minutes)
T displays the image "job interview". T: LOOK AT THE PICTURE ----- WHERE ARE THOSE PEOPLE?(iN AN OFFICE? WHAT IS HAPPENING?(THEY ARE INTERVIEWING THE WOMAN) WHY ARE INTERVIEWING HER (FOR A VACANT POSITION) WHO ARE THOSE PEOPLE? THEY ARE EMPLOYERS OR MANAGERS AND THE CANDITATE) HOW ARE THEY DRESSED? DO THEY LOOK SCRUFFY?(UNTIDY, LOOKING A LITTLE DIRTY,NO) DO THEY LOOK TRENDY?(MODERN AND FASHIONABLE, NO) DO THEY LOOK SMART?(YES) DO THEY LOOK PRESENTABLE?(YES)
T will do an activity using a jamboard! Ss will have to elicit and decide (among different options) the dos and donts in a job interview. T will put Ss in pairs using BORs T will share a link with Ss T will show and discuss some answers Ss will explain their answers
