Description
In this lesson, Ss review their vocabulary about places and practice the question forms “is there?” and “are there” through controlled speaking practice and a controlled writing task. Ss ask and answer questions within the context of neighbourhood.

Main Aims

To introduce the question forms "Is there a..?" and "Are there any.." through controlled writing and speaking practices.
Subsidiary Aims

To provide accuracy about the TL through controlled speaking tasks.
Procedure (35-44 minutes)
Warmer/Lead-in (2-3 minutes) • To set lesson context and engage students
T sets the context by asking some questions like I really like watching films, are there any cinemas around here?" so they start talking about places in town.
Vocabulary (8-10 minutes) • To provide a model of production expected in coming tasks through reading/listening
Ss will be reminded the vocabulary that they already learnt in the previous lessons and also will be introduced to some new words with a matching exercise.
Useful Language (10-15 minutes) • To highlight and clarify useful language for coming productive tasks
Practicing the use of "there is.." and "there are.." within the task given.. WC FB will be given.
Productive Task(s) (15-16 minutes) • To provide an opportunity to practice target productive skills
After they looked at their pictures and defined what they have in their towns, they will be asking to other group "is there a cinema in your town".. etc. practicing the question forms.
